COMMUNITY LEARNING DISABILITY TEAMS

 

Community Learning Disability Teams serve all areas of Lothian.  We provide a range of services primarily to adults who have a learning disability, and to their carers. We offer assistance with health and nutrition concerns, behavioural and emotional difficulties, and the development of vocational and social skills.

 

Specialties represented on our Teams include:

  • Art Therapy
  • Challenging Behaviour Team
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Community Nursing (who also offer services to children)
  • Dietetics
  • Epilepsy Service
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Psychiatry
  • Speech & Language Therapy

If you think that a Community Learning Disability Team might be of service to you, talk to your Social Worker, GP, or other health professional, or contact the Team Co-ordinator or Administrative Secretary of the Team in your area.
